The group dynamics model
The group dynamics model is a model for presenting, depicting and analysing organisational operation. It breaks with the traditional hierarchical way of thinking used by the pyramid model and instead thinks in terms of overlapping, dynamically evolving organisational groups.
The concept in brief
The group dynamics model can present the operation of an organisation as a whole, both in its entirety and in detail.
Its free-form depiction makes an individual, a group or the organisation as a whole clearly visible on this new kind of organisational chart.
The model is group-dynamic because we think in groups: one person can be a member of several groups, and these memberships can change dynamically.
Groups can be formed, for example, on the basis of processes, organisational units or projects.
Employees start to think in processes rather than in a hierarchy, and communication and transparency processes are shown unambiguously.
