The performance system

Performance and results are in a part–whole relationship: performance means the totality of results over a longer period.

The concept in brief

  1. The quality level of results is determined by efficiency: efficient work, value creation and organisational operation enable employees to achieve defined results.

  2. When appraising performance, we assess capacity (competencies, mindset, attitude), the aspects of efficiency, and the results.

  3. In the performance system, employees and leaders are appraised according to separate criteria.
