1. Operations are ad hoc, person-dependent and not standardised enough
Processes, agreements and ways of working are not clearly defined; different people do the same thing differently, and information and knowledge are often undocumented, held only by certain employees. As a result, mistakes recur, training new staff is harder and outcomes are less predictable.
2. Roles, responsibilities and decision-making authority are unclear
It is not clear who is responsible for what, who can decide, whom to turn to, or where one job ends and another begins. This can lead to overlapping tasks, work that stalls or is passed back and forth, finger-pointing, and too many decisions being pushed up to management.
3. Leadership does not sufficiently support independent performance
Delegation, assigning work, control or leadership style are not adequate; managers keep too many tasks and decisions in their own hands, while employees do not become more independent. This also covers decision-making, motivation and leadership communication.
4. Communication and information flow are faltering
People talk past each other, information reaches those concerned late or incompletely, coordination does not work well, there are too many emails and meetings, and clear agreements are either not reached or not kept.
5. Collaboration is weak, and conflicts are not handled well
Departments and managers blame each other, walls form between teams, and conflicts turn into lasting grievances. This also includes collaboration difficulties arising from generational, cultural and other differences.
6. The organisation is overloaded, and time and priorities are poorly managed
Everything is urgent, deadlines slip, and there is a lot of overtime, administration and unnecessary coordination or workflow. Day-to-day operations take time away from important but non-urgent tasks, development and innovation.
7. Our processes are less efficient than they could be
There is a lot of waste, error, rework, duplication and unnecessary activity. Operations demand a great deal of time and energy, but may not create value in proportion.
8. Motivation, engagement and employee retention are a concern
We do not know exactly what motivates our employees; there is little feedback and recognition, employees may experience unfairness, engagement declines, turnover rises and the risk of burnout grows.
9. We struggle to adapt to change, and a growth-oriented mindset is less common
Change often triggers resistance, uncertainty or rejection. Attention goes to problems and to why something cannot be done, rather than to learning, development and new opportunities.
10. We have no clear picture of where knowledge and competence gaps lie
We do not always know who actually knows what and what they can do in practice, so training and development are not targeted enough either. This covers professional, leadership, communication and digital competences, as well as knowledge related to AI, software use and information security, for example.

Missing an assessment?
If you cannot find what you need, we will build it
Not every organisational question has a ready-made questionnaire – and that is fine. Describe what you would like to understand, and if the question can be examined through an assessment, we will create the right questionnaire for it. Questionnaire design has been our profession for thirty years; for us, a new analysis is not a separate project.
You do not need to know which test you need
Just put the question into words – leave the solution to us
